WOMEN´S DAY

IMPORTANT WOMEN THROUGHOUT HISTORY 

 Good afternoon!! How are you? I hope you're all well despite the situation we're still in. In today's post, on the occasion of women's day, we're going to talk about the important women throughout history. 

 We will literally become every one of them. And... you know how we're gonna do that?

 We're going to make a video that we'll use various applications for.👏 

 First, we will simulate a video call for which we will use "zoom". This application besides making video calls with your friends, family, companies. allows you to record both audio and video.

 Then when we tried to record the video there was interference in the call so each of my colleagues and I had to use our own mobile phone to record ourselves. And yes, I'm afraid so, sometimes recording yourself is more difficult than when you are being recorded, because you are aware of the mistakes you make or you are not able to look properly into the camera, but who hasn't ever recorded themselves? These two applications are very easy as they are free and we usually use them in our day to day. 

 Next, as we wanted to simulate a wallpaper we used "touch cast studios". It is a free application that allows you to put the background of your choice in your videos. It is very easy to use, but the only drawback is that sometimes the background you record yourself on must be white and smooth, if you do not risk that the background does not fit well and therefore you do not look good on the screen. 

Finally, when we had all the parts of the video done, we just had to "assemble" them, that is, create our own video. For this we used "Imovie", an application that comes in all "MAC" computers. It is a very fast and easy to use application, you just have to drag the images to the top, the audio to the bottom and you can extend each image and audio to last as long as you want. Also, you can add effects if you want. I honestly don't know of a video creation application as easy and effective as the one we mentioned earlier. 

 It has been a very good experience and we have realized how the technology works and how important it is in our lives. 

 All the applications exposed above are usually used in our daily life, so I don't think there was any problem for even our students to make a video as a presentation.

FLIPGRID

Hiiii!

Today we come back with more energy than ever. You may be wondering why... well today was the FIRST DAY OUT after being locked up for 50 days in my house.

I was looking forward to this day so that I could run and do some kind of sport because between you and me.. "I was going crazy."

I think that in order for you to feel the excitement that I have felt it is better to see it than to write it, so for that I have made a video.

I used a tool called "Flipgrip". At first I didn't like the idea, because this page is used and you can be seen by people from all over the world.
Then I stopped to think about it and I think it's a good tool to know what's going on around the world through people's experiences.

Flipgrip is a very easy tool to use. You just have to get on the page through a google account. Once on the page you will see a green icon with the + symbol.  You will have to click on this symbol and a screen will appear for you to start recording. You only have 5 minutes to record yourself and that will be the video you can upload to the network. Before you upload it you can watch it in case you want to repeat it.

I think it is a fun tool to use and above all interesting.

Yes, you have read well, dear friends, this stage has come to an end...

You may wonder what motivated me to have this blog, well, at first I didn't like the idea of having a blog, since I saw it as something unnecessary, but as I was uploading post and observing its usefulness I was made to reflect on the importance and all that we can share through a "post" since it is like reading a newspaper but with a useful and interesting content for each of us.

Honestly, I was afraid of this subject, among us; I am not very good with new technologies, and I thought I would not be able to do any decent work or that I would be frustrated?

But little by little, I was motivated above all thanks to my teacher who has been a constant help, support and encouragement tool because even though I know that sometimes I didn't perform the exercises well, he took care to explain them to me step by step.

I keep all the good experiences, with most of the applications like "Mind map" or "Canvas", tools that I didn't know and that have become my essential tools in my daily work.

All this has made me think about two things.
On the one hand, the importance and the facilities that give us the use of new technologies in our daily lives. In fact, we have been able to verify it through what has happened in our country because of the "COVID-19". But not only at the level of videoconferences and working with our students, it has helped me to realize the infinity of tools that today we do not know, that are free and that we can even use for our own students to do work.

On the other hand, it has helped me to lose that "fear" I have about new technologies and the use of these, is more motivated to continue researching new tools, why? Because they are useful things that make our lives easier and faster and most of them are very intuitive.

I want to say goodbye to this blog leaving a brief reference about my time in the ICTS subject.

Hello!!!!!

 In today's post I bring you a little story about the important women in history. It's true that there are many who have had some prestige or fame in history, but unfortunately many of them throughout their lives did not have the recognition they deserved as it is the case of Hedy Lamarr, without whom today we would not know nor would exist the wifi, essential tool in our daily life.

On the other hand, we must place ourselves in the context in which during this period, these women lived in a macho society where women barely had any rights. This is why escaping and being specialists, even dying for their dreams, like Dian Fossey, (she died to protect the gorillas at the hands of poachers), is worth admiring.

So I leave you with a little story about what will happen so that we know who these women are.
First, you will see a script detailing the dialogue that will take place in a video, which we will explain and show in the next post.

 And what better image to summarize and introduce a video than a comic?
For this, we have used again the application "canvas". I really recommend you to use this tool, from my point of view, there is no better tool to create so many different elements, from comics, to presentations, to make personal resumes.

The good thing is that all these applications can be done with your students because they are easy, simple and free.

We will place the following project in commemoration of Women's Day... And... what will happen? Who are these women?

PODCASTS

Hi, guys!
 It's been a lot of days cooped up at home, and I don't know if you guys are the same, but I'm getting more and more tired and that affects my writing. That's why I've made a podcast for my students, as this way they don't lose contact with the subject and I reinforce a bit the listening.
I used several applications to create a podcast.
 First of all, I used Quicktime, a mac application, which in my opinion is the fastest I know.
After recording myself I uploaded this recording to "Ivoox". Ivoox is an application where you can upload both podcasts and videos you have created. It is easy and simple to use, since you only have to follow the steps indicated by the program itself. I hope you find it useful, especially in these days in which technology is becoming the best ally to teach our children how to use it.

Canvas APP

Hi!!! First and foremost I hope that you all manage the quarantine very well and that you and your family members are in good health.
Today we are going to see what the Canva application is, what it is used for and what its possibilities are.
Well, Canva is an application that serves to make computer graphics, by this we mean "information papers" very visual and with clear and accurate information, such as a flyer.
Once we have chosen our Canvas project, it allows us to add photos or videos or both, either our own or through the search engine that the application itself offers. The problem with the ones available through the application is that many of them have to be paid for, that is, if there is no icon in the image they are free, but if at the bottom right we see "€" it is that it is paid for. The same will happen with the rest of the elements.
We can also change the background, size, color and shape of the letters.
Something that this application also has and that I find very interesting is the possibility of adding QR codes and social networks like Instagram or Facebook.

MINDMEISTER

Hello again!! I just upload the mind map about digestive system that you can see below.

This application that I leave you now can come in handy these days. We are not giving face-to-face classes and sometimes the concepts may not be very clear. Through MindMeister, you can create various different schemes of your needs. You can also change the shape, color, direction, etc.

At first it is a bit messy to use, but following the instructions given by the pages you do it in less than 5 minutes.
The only bad thing about this app is that you can't soak

Hell family! I hope all is well with you and your family and friends.
Unfortunately, Spain is experiencing a tragic situation, which, of course, has also affected the educational field. Therefore, I bring you an app that can make your online classes a little more enjoyable.

Comics have always been a very useful resource, it's a more enjoyable, fun, short reading with images, which also makes us follow the story better.
Through "storyboar" You can create your own comic and focus it on the theme you want. You can choose the characters, the setting, the color of the hair clothes, the posture and a billion other things. And because it's a free application, you can also have your students do it.
In my case, I think that emotions are very important and the knowledge of them at an early age such as first or second grade. For that I will use this little story to introduce the feelings. My idea is, after reading the comic, that the students tell me how they think the child feels in each of the scenes, and from there link emotions to work with each other. 

I hope you like it and if you have more ideas to work on the comic, as an example in arts or other subject, share it, all together we will get to do great things!!!

GENEALLY

In these significant days, in which unfortunately we cannot go out to the street and we have to work from home, a help is never bad in our sector, since we are not used to work through videoconferences, nor to send jobs through internet...


Today I'm going to leave you a video explaining how we can use Geneally. My presentation is very simple. You must take into account that this app has many possibilities, both to modify images and to add transictions, movements, gifs, links... everything you can imagine!!!

It should be added that the video I have uploaded the sound, MY VOICE is recorded through my MAC, with the Imovie application and therefore is not part of Geneally.

NEW TOOLS

Hi!! I hope everything's okay here. 

In today's post, I want to show you a very easy and simple tool to use. 

Geneally, is a program to make presentations and you can access it completely from the internet. It's a totally free program, the only thing you have to do is to subscribe. It is true that if you pay a small amount per month you can access a larger number of presentations already made and you will have more advantages. 

From the free point of view, you can create presentations, which you can save and share with whoever you want. In these presentations you can add gifs, videos, emoticons, in short, many things you can think of to make your presentation original and entertaining as well as dynamic and fun for your students. 

RESOURCES WITH PINTEREST

Hello every!!!

Today we are going to talk about a resource that we can use not only in physical education (although later we will give an example), but what we can use in the rest of the subjects. 

From my point of view, when I need to get images, videos even pdf, Pinterest, it is the best resource I have. I can find millions of images or things that interest me but I can also create several folders to save everything I find in sections. This makes my work much easier and faster, since through the folders I can easily search for the resources I need for my class.

It is also interesting to mention that within the folders you can modify the order of the documents, this action makes it even easier to perform or print tasks. It helps me a lot since I have a clear and general idea of the contents and resources that I am going to use.

For example, one of the activities that I have prepared for the first course of primary education is a circuit on balance, basketball (hand-eye coordination) and football (pedo-eye coordination). What I intend to achieve with this activity is that students divided into groups are more independent. As a teacher I explain and teach once what we are going to do. Being small students, each corner has a flashcard in which it indicates what they have to do. Also for example in basketball, when they have to throw the ball with their right hand, the flashcard that I leave in that corner has the image of their right hand, so they just have to put their hand on top of the flashcard and identify what hand it is with the They have to bounce the ball.

QUIDDITCH MUGGLE

How is everything around here? I hope you are all very well. Today I am going to talk about one of my biggest hobbies, maybe I consider myself a little freak for that but I find it very interesting to carry it out in the classroom. You imagine a magical world, full of magicians and magicians living with us Muggles (term to which wizards are determined for non-magicians like us). Yes, if you are a Harry Potter fan, how can you imagine living in a castle like Howarts, walking through Diagon Alley, visiting its stores and even buying magic potions. Through this game we can get a little closer to this world, because the QUIDDITCH has arrived for the Muggles. 

Currently, this game is becoming very fashionable in the United States, although it is becoming increasingly relevant worldwide, in fact there are already Quidditch Muggle leagues. Over the years, Quidditch has formed an international community. The first Quidditch Summer Games will be organized in Oxford when the Olympic torch catches the city towards the London 2012 Olympic Games. The countries represented in these games were: United States, United Kingdom, France, Canada and Australia. The United States won gold. As in the movie, the game consists of two teams, each player has a function and guess ... ALL players wear brooms!

I believe this game encompasses several positive facets to work in the area of physical education. Through this game we can work coordination, teamwork and reaction speed among others. Obviously we will have to adapt the game to the different levels, so it will not be the same for our students of first than for those of sixth since the progression that we intend to make is that in the courses of 5 and 6 of primary they play following all the rules.

I love the world of sport 💙 , how to educate your body, how to eat well and stay healthy. One of my sport is "power lifting" and "football", although I don't compete, I enjoy practice them daily.

It is a super cool application since you can choose from the skin tone, going through how to dress and even once your avatar is created you can identify it with different situations, either for example "saying hello" or as in which you can see that I have created by saying it's "gym time".
